Our Family Dog Mediation programs are designed to meet the specific needs of your dog and family, with a number of sessions aimed to promote mutual understanding and facilitate harmonious coexistence between you and your furry companion .
Private sessions are held either at online, in your home, the Building Bonds Behavior Center or a public place.

All private session programs begin with a Zoom session. Completion of our registration form is required and will be emailed to you once you schedule. Please email info@buildingbondstraining.com to get started.
You have the option of a 30-minute Zoom interview ($60) if you would like to discuss the possibility of working together. We are currently requiring a two-hour behavior consultation in person or via Zoom for intra-household dog-dog aggression cases. Please contact us to schedule at info@buildingbondstraining.com.
Reactivity Reimagined Self-Paced Online Course
Dogs exhibiting exaggerated responses to environmental stimuli such as bicycles, cars, or fellow dogs are commonly identified as having "leash reactivity." The presence of these external triggers induces stress, prompting the dog's nervous system to manifest behaviors like lunging, barking, and growling. This heightened reaction distinguishes them from other dogs facing similar situations. Leash reactivity not only compromises the dog's well-being but also impacts the overall quality of life for both the pet and their owner. Our Reactivity Reimagined Program is meticulously crafted to establish a strong foundation, empowering both you and your dog to navigate stressors effectively and rediscover your dog's joyful state. This program equips you with the essential skills, knowledge, and support needed to address and overcome leash reactivity.
This is our most budget-friendly option for dogs who bark and lunge on leash. The course is entirely self-paced and online. You also have the option to join a semi-private group class, where your dog will be paired with one other dog. The Reactivity Reimagined online course is included with both options. Fretful Fido - Fear, Anxiety, Stress, Aggression & Reactivity
Our Fretful Fido programs address behavior problems such as fear, aggression, leash reactivity and discomfort with veterinary visits.
We adamantly refrain from using electronic collars, verbal or physical corrections, or any methods that stress your dog.
If you wish to discuss the possibility of working together before committing to the Fretful Fido program, you can schedule a 30-minute interview ($60) with our certified Family Dog Mediator.
All Fretful Fido programs start with a one-hour Zoom session and include additional 50-minute private sessions. It's important to note that additional sessions may be deemed necessary, especially if your dog has multiple concerns; in such cases, we will advise on the appropriate number of sessions. Anticipate collaborating with us for an estimated duration of 3 to 6 months. Sessions are typically spaced one to two weeks apart, allowing ample time between each session for you to engage with your dog and observe progress. Please be aware that extra charges may apply for households with multiple dogs.
All clients are also welcome to attend weekly office hours on Mondays 3-3:30 pm.
Option #1 $1205 Initial one hour Zoom session and 6 in person or Zoom sessions
Option #2 $1875 Initial one hour Zoom session and 10 in person or Zoom sessions

At Building Bonds, we believe that resilience and coping strategies are skills your dog can learn, with your help. That’s where Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT) comes in. Kim Silver is a Certified Behavior Adjustment Training Instructor-Knowledge and Skills Assessed. Kim loves to teach pet parents, trainers, and shelter volunteers the art of BAT.
Developed by renowned trainer Grisha Stewart, BAT is a gentle, effective approach to helping dogs who struggle with fear, reactivity, or social stress. Whether your dog barks, lunges, or freezes around other dogs, people, or specific environments, BAT empowers them to make better choices and gain confidence, without force or fear.
What is BAT?
BAT uses carefully staged setups and long-line handling to give dogs space and control over their interactions. Through repetition, they learn to assess situations, make calmer choices, and build emotional resilience. Handlers learn to read body language, manage distance, and respond with clarity and compassion. It’s more than behavior modification—it’s a trust-building experience.

Please note: When purchasing your behavior consultation or program and scheduling your first appointment, a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee is applied from your initial payment. We teach Manners and Life Skills for the entire family with you.
In our private lessons, we will teach you how to work with your dog in ways that are simple while building new skills that work for your lifestyle with your dog. We will provide time between lessons for practical application of the skills you and your family are learning together. Private lessons take place online, at your home, our behavior center or at a public place.

The Adult Family Dog
In our private lessons, we will teach you how to work with your dog in ways that are simple while building new skills that work for your lifestyle with your dog. We will provide time between lessons for practical application of the skills you and your family are learning together. Private lessons take place online, at the Building Bonds behavior center or at your home. This program is not suitable for problem behaviors related to fear, anxiety or aggression. If your dog is experiencing issues of on or off leash barking or aggression, please see our fear/anxiety/aggression programs above.
Behavior Center $960 Initial 30-minute Zoom session and 6 Sessions: One weekly 50-minute session at the behavior center for 6 weeks.
1-2-1 Coaching In Your Home $1140 Initial 30-minute Zoom session and 6 Sessions: Once weekly one-on-one coaching sessions in your home for 6 weeks. We teach and coach you on how to train your dog in between sessions.
Day School In Your Home $2325 Our trainer will visit your pup at home three times a week for four weeks, allowing you to focus on work, errands, or cheering at your child's sporting event. We'll schedule three "parent-teacher" conferences to demonstrate your dog's new skills and teach you how to support their learning journey.

Puppy & Adolescent Programs
Puppyhood is crucial stage in your dog’s development, but the challenges don’t stop there. As puppies grow into adolescence, this is often when many long-lasting behavior issues can emerge. That's why ongoing support through this period is essential. Our Puppy Programs, designed for puppies starting as early as 8 weeks, offer more than just early training. They’re crafted to guide you and your puppy through every step of their journey, from navigating the excitement of puppyhood to the complexities of adolescence and beyond. We’re here to help you build a strong foundation and address the behaviors that matter most during these formative stages.
1-2-1 Coaching In Your Home Initial 30 minute Zoom session and choose from 6, 9, or 12 sessions price ranges from $1140-$2040
Group Classes Our group classes are designed for your puppy’s developmental stage. We offer Puppy Preschool (8-20 weeks), Puppy Kindergarten (20 weeks-7months), and Teenager Edition (7-18 months). Bundle two or more classes together and save!
Loose Leash Walking Lessons
Tired of your dog yanking you around on walks? Our private loose leash walking lessons are tailored to help you and your dog enjoy walks together. Whether your dog is a young puppy just starting out or an adult who needs to improve their leash manners, we’ll guide you through effective techniques using positive reinforcement.
During these customized sessions, you’ll learn how to:
Encourage your dog to walk politely on a loose leash without pulling.
Develop focus and engagement on walks, even in distracting environments.
Build clear communication and trust between you and your dog.
Implement strategies to make walking enjoyable for both of you.
Please note: This service is designed for dogs that need help with basic leash manners. If your dog is barking and lunging at other dogs, people, or objects on walks, or if they are terrified of being outside the home, this may not be the right service for you. We recommend our specialized behavior programs to address these concerns.

When you email us to start your Family Dog or Puppy Program training program, we will schedule all of the appointments in your program to secure your place on our calendar and keep your training program on track.
Please note: When scheduling and paying for your first appointment in a training program or for a behavior consultation, a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee is applied from your initial payment should you cancel your first appointment, behavior consultation, or entire training program. Should you cancel your first appointment for a training program, your program fee will be refunded minus a $100 cancelation fee and a $10 processing fee.

Behavior Consultation
In a 2 hour consultation, we will review your dog's history and the presenting problems then help you set realistic expectations for improving your dog’s behavior. We will provide you with recommendations to work for your individual lifestyle and with your dog’s specific needs. Behavior Consultations take place at your home or by Zoom. Your consultation includes a 30 minute phone call or Zoom follow up within 30 days of your consultation.
2 hour consultation and 30 minute follow up for $300. Ask us about whether a consultation at our training center better suits your dog. Different rate applies.
Video Consultation
During our video consultation, we will take a complete history of your dog and the presenting problem and help you set realistic expectations for improving your dog’s behavior. We will provide you with initial recommendations to address the most pressing issues. Video consults are also available for dogs who have a difficult time with people or people who do not live locally. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a phone consultation instead.
Two hour video consultation $225 (recommended for Fretful Fidos), one hour consultation for $125 or 30 minutes for $60.
