Happy Vet Visits

The Happy Vet Visits Annual Membership is designed to provide pet owners with peace of mind and support for their pets’ emotional and physical well-being throughout the year. This membership ensures that pets receive consistent, positive reinforcement-based training to make vet visits a stress-free and enjoyable experience ensuring your pet continues to receive the best medical care they deserve. Currently, Happy Vet Visits are available for pets exhibiting Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) levels 1-3 according to our Fear Free FAS scale.

Happy Vet Visits with Kim Silver your Fear Free Certified Animal Trainer take place at Rolling Hills Pet Clinic. While participation in the Happy Vet Visits program requires an exam by the Rolling Hills veterinarian, it does not mean you have to change your current veterinarian. Participation will help pet guardians improve the vet clinic experience at any veterinary office.

Membership Benefits

1. An Initial Happy Vet Visit assessment

• A Vet Clinic Behavioral Assessment: Evaluation of your pet’s current comfort levels and stress signals during veterinary visits.
• Medical History Review: Discuss any past experiences, medical conditions, or triggers that may affect your pet’s behavior.
• Customized Desensitization Plan: Creation of a tailored plan to gradually acclimate your pet to veterinary visits, reducing fear, anxiety and stress (FAS).
• Client Education: Guidance for pet parents on how to prepare for and support their pet during vet visits, including tips on calming techniques and positive reinforcement.
• Follow-Up Recommendations: Suggestions for further training, environmental adjustments, or additional Fear Free visits to ensure ongoing progress.

2. Eight Trainer Guided Happy Vet Hospital Visits Annually

• Members will receive up to eight (8) trainer guided vet hospital visits throughout the year with a Fear Free Certified animal trainer. Our Fear Free Certified animal trainer specializes in making vet visits a positive and stress-free experience for pets.
• Focus Areas: Conditioning pets to feel comfortable in the vet environment, Fear Free handling techniques, reducing anxiety associated with vet procedures, and encouraging cooperation during exams through positive reinforcement techniques.

3. Two Fear Free Educational Events Annually

• Members will have access to two (2) exclusive educational events annually. These events are designed to educate pet owners on Fear Free techniques and how to apply them in various situations.
• Event Topics May Include: Preparing your pet for a stress-free vet visit with at-home training plans, understanding your pet’s body language during medial exams, and/or practical tips for reducing fear and anxiety in everyday situations.

4. Fear Free Resource Library

• Comprehensive Educational Materials: Access a wide range of handouts designed to help pet parents understand and implement Fear Free techniques at home.
• Expert-Developed Resources: Handouts created by certified Fear Free professionals, ensuring the highest standards of humane and effective training.
• User-Friendly Guides: Step-by-step instructions and tips for reducing stress in common situations, such as vet visits, grooming, and everyday handling.
• Tailored Training Techniques: Resources for specific behaviors and scenarios, including anxiety reduction, fear management, and creating positive associations.
• Accessible: Easy to download and use, making it easy for the entire family to access high-quality training and education tools.

Annual Membership Fee: $409

Non-Rolling Hills patients incur an additional veterinary consultation fee of $81.99 to establish care for participation in the Happy Vet Visit Membership program.

No Refund Policy

All payments for our memberships and services are non-refundable. This includes any unused sessions or portions of a membership or service. Once a program or service has been purchased, participants are not eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers to other services. Please be sure to confirm your participation before enrolling.
