Building Bonds Cooperative Care Club

Helping Dogs Feel Safe and Prepared for Veterinary Care

Veterinary care, grooming, and medical handling are essential parts of a dog’s life. Unfortunately, many dogs find these experiences stressful or frightening.

The Building Bonds Cooperative Care Club teaches dogs and their caregivers the skills needed to prepare for veterinary visits, grooming, and medical procedures using humane, science-based training methods.

Through guided practice, dogs learn how to participate willingly in their own care through cooperative behaviors such as chin rests, stationing, and consent signals. These skills reduce stress, improve safety, and help veterinary teams provide better care.

Our program is designed for dogs of all ages—from puppies learning preventative skills to adult dogs who need help becoming more comfortable with handling and medical procedures.
